I undertake various activities as part of my portfolio career practice: Assessments, CEO Mentoring, Coaching (Business, Career, Executive, OnBoarding, Professional Practices and Retirement), Facilitation and Presentations on various topical business subjects.
I assist in achieving business, career, organisational and/or life goals. I have worked with many individuals and organisations to facilitate successful business, career, executive and retirement transitions towards desired outcomes - whether exiting a role or organisation (outplacement), entering a role or organisation (on boarding), to becoming more effective in an existing role (executive coaching) or in engaging multiple stakeholders to achieve corporate/group goals (facilitation).
From 2015 to 2018, I was appointed as a Lenovo ANZ Brand Ambassador where I was provided with Lenovo product from time to time to use and evaluate in my business and executive coaching practice - which I had been doing on a commercial arms length basis for many years prior to this appointment. I understand I was appointed to this role as I was considered representative as one of "Those Who Do" and #neverstandstill - as demonstrated by the range of technology solutions I use in my practice.
In my coaching and facilitation, I draw on a range of qualifications and business and life experiences including:
- 26 years of business experience as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Australia in a variety of positions, including auditing, tax advisory and internal national practice management and shared services roles, and significant change management experience arising from the 1998 merger and subsequent structural realignment
- having had a year of transition in 2006 (what I now call my first gap year or first retirement - at the age of 47!) after accepting an amicable redundancy of my position of National Operations Director at PwC Australia.
- certifications and experience in career transition/outplacement consulting, coaching, BarOn Emotional Intelligence, Extended DISC , Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument, Hogan Assessments, Human Synergistics LSI, Matrigma, Myers Briggs Type Indicator and Retirement Coaching.
- a diverse range of facilitation experiences both through The Executive Connection and with other clients.
- being an active investor in large Australian listed companies and gaining from the ongoing business issues confronting all companies in different industries
- being married with 3 adult daughters
- an active contributor to my local community particularly as a past President, former website manager and a representative softball coach with the Hornsby District Softball Association in Sydney
